About the game

There are four pictures, but one of them doesn’t belong. Which one is it? Look closely at all the pictures, find the one that doesn’t match the others, and hide it behind the coloured box!

‘The Fourth One Is Different’ is a logic game featuring an unusual box shaped like a lorry. The child compares the pictures, finds the odd one out and covers the window with the box. The most interesting part is not just choosing a picture, but explaining how it differs from the rest.

Each task is a little puzzle, where it’s important not only to find the answer, but also to understand why.

In the set

• a wooden box shaped like a lorry, measuring 31 × 11.5 × 5.5 cm, with 4 windows
• task cards featuring four pictures
• coloured lids to cover the spare picture

How to play

1. Insert the card into the lorry.
2. The child looks at the four pictures and finds the one that doesn’t match the rest.
3. Cover the odd-one-out picture with the box and explain why.

Where to start

Start with the cards where the odd one out is immediately obvious: fruit and an aeroplane. Move on to the more challenging ones gradually.
