‘Cheetah’ Card Mosaic

About the game

The cheetah needs a new jumper, and today the child gets to be the designer! Which colours should they choose? How should they arrange the diamond-shaped pieces so that the pattern matches the card exactly? Or perhaps they could come up with their own combination?

A little cheetah in a jumper is waiting for a new pattern. The child selects coloured diamonds so that the jumper looks exactly like the one on the card. Some cards are puzzles: you have to work out which diamond is missing.

From simple colour combinations to puzzle challenges — every new pattern brings the joy of finding the solution.

In the set

• cheetah-shaped base, 32 × 25 cm
• 65 diamond-shaped pieces in 8 colours: yellow, blue, red, green, orange, purple, grey and light blue
• 12 double-sided cards — 24 tasks of varying difficulty

How to play

1. Choose a card and look closely at the pattern.
2. Select the diamond-shaped pieces in the right colours.
3. Arrange the pattern on the cheetah’s jumper.

Where to start

Start with the simplest cards featuring just a few colours. Puzzle cards — for when the child can confidently match the pieces to the example.

Game variations

• ‘Sweater Designer’: create your own pattern;
• ‘What’s Changed?’: an adult swaps one diamond — the child has to spot the difference;
• count the diamonds of each colour;
• recreate the pattern from memory.
