About the game

Summer adventures begin with little pictures! A ship with a captain, a bus, an ice cream — familiar scenes are hidden on the domino halves. Will you be able to find the matching half for each picture?

‘Domino Halves’ is a game in which a child searches for matching halves of pictures, pairs them up and gradually builds a long chain.

Pair by pair — and the scattered pictures turn into a whole chain of summer stories.

In the set

• 28 wooden pieces, 5.5 × 3 cm — 14 pairs featuring summer scenes
• box, 15.5 × 8 × 5 cm

How to play

1. Lay out the tiles with the pictures facing upwards.
2. Players take turns picking up a tile and looking for its matching half.
3. The matched pairs form a chain of summer pictures.

Where to start

An adult shows one half, and the child looks for the other half and names what is in the picture.

Game variations

• ‘Match the pairs’: say both items out loud;
• make up a story about each picture;
• speed challenge: see who can find the most pairs;
• lay out a long chain.
