‘House of Tasks’ puzzle sorter

About the game

Various characters live in this little house, but how can you tell who is in which room? Where are the red windows, and where is the character you’re looking for? Examine the house, listen to the clues and find the right answers!

‘The House of Tasks’ is a wooden puzzle sorter with cards, in which the child searches for the inhabitants based on descriptions of their locations. The tasks encourage the child to look closely at the details, orientate themselves in space and answer questions.

Every room they find is a little riddle that helps them better understand spatial clues and express their thoughts.

In the set

• wooden house-shaped insert, 23 × 17 cm
• templates with windows, numbers and characters
• 12 activity cards

How to play

1. Choose a card.
2. The child reads or listens to the task and places the characters in the windows.
3. Check against the card — then move on to the next one.

Where to start

Start by simply looking at the house and its inhabitants, without any tasks. The cards are the next step.

Game variations

• ‘Who lives in the room with red windows?’;
• ‘Find the character standing in front of the tiger’;
• ‘Place the characters who are doing something — reading, sleeping’;
• Make up a sentence about each resident.
