About the game

A hammer, an axe, a file and a screwdriver — each tool has its own purpose and distinctive shape. But is it easy to recognise the same object in different pictures? Match the pairs.

‘Séguin Boards: Tools’ — a wooden puzzle sorter for matching images and shapes. The child looks at the photographs and patterns on the boards, compares them with the tool figures and finds the correct matches. Each of the six tools is represented by different pictures.

Familiar tools are transformed into intriguing puzzles, where it’s important to notice the shape and details of the image.

In the set

• a wooden box measuring 20 × 16 × 6 cm
• 18 wooden boards measuring 10 × 7.5 cm with photos and patterns
• 18 tool figurines, 4–5 cm: 6 tools in different designs — a hammer, an axe, a spade, a file, a spanner, a screwdriver

How to play

1. Lay out the boards and shapes.
2. The child looks for a shape that matches both the shape and the picture.
3. Place each shape onto its corresponding board.

Where to start

Start with 4–5 boards featuring different instruments.
