‘Sunflower: Colours, Counting and Directions’ sorter

About the game

Colourful ladybirds have scattered across the playing field, and each one has a different number of spots. Where does the red ladybird with three spots go, and where should the blue one with five be placed? Help everyone find the right squares!

‘Ladybird: Colours, Counting and Directions’ is a wooden sorter with a grid, in which children need to take two characteristics into account at once. The child identifies the ladybird’s colour, counts its spots and finds the square at the intersection of the corresponding coloured row and the number of spots.

Every correctly placed ladybird is a small achievement resulting from careful comparison of colour and number.

In the set

• a 32 × 23 cm board with a grid
• 20 ladybird-shaped tiles: 4 colours, 5 of each, with different numbers of dots
• 5 cube-shaped tiles with dots ranging from 1 to 5
• 4 colour tiles: red, yellow, green, blue

How to play

1. Arrange the dots at the top and the colours on the side.
2. The child takes the ladybird and looks for the square where the colour of the row matches the number of dots.
3. Fill in the whole grid.

Start with one colour and count to 3.
